These photos are products and packaging that I designed while employed at the Corporate Offices of Hobby Lobby, serving as the Assistant Art Director. The client, a company buyer in this case, usually provided specific directions for the cup designs. I was granted artistic license on the chalk and sea sponge packaging. All are rendered in Adobe Illustrator.
Original gift bag designs while employed at the Corporate Offices of Hobby Lobby, serving as the Assistant Art Director. Here are some of my ideas that went into production. These were drawn in Adobe Illustrator.
Original gift bag designs while employed at the Corporate Offices of Hobby Lobby, serving as the Assistant Art Director. The purple ornaments bag on the left was an idea I sketched out and designed. I directed the photo shoot and made the bag files ready for pre-press. The angel on the right was a photograph taken by the art department. I drew the window with text in Adobe Illustrator, imported it into Photoshop, then made the files ready for pre-press.
An original gift bag design while employed at the Corporate Offices of Hobby Lobby, serving as the Assistant Art Director. The rose bag is a watercolor painting, scanned and made ready for printing.
Proclamation Ornaments: The client wanted illustrations of twenty-five ornaments with decorative edges, but not so decorative that it would be difficult for an overseas sculptor to reproduce. To keep costs low, three shapes were selected to alternate through the entire set. Day twenty-five had its own special shape, a scroll. Each ornament had a topic on the front and a Bible verse on the back. A sample of my Adobe Illustrator files is provided along with photos of the finished product.
Repeating ribbon patterns created in Adobe Illustrator. The country town scene was drawn in Adobe Illustrator, imported into Photoshop and finished there. The entire scene and the finished product are shown.
A few of the stamps and stickers I made while employed at the Corporate Offices of Hobby Lobby. Stamps were sketched on paper, scanned, then traced in Adobe Illustrator. The black and white vector drawing was used to make the rubber image. The label was made by importing the line art into Photoshop and adding color. All the stickers were drawn in Adobe Illustrator.
Potpourri Labels, Backers, and Headers: Adobe Illustrator. Refresher oil backer card elements were painted by my former supervisor Sher Ferguson.
Boxes for Aromatheraphy: A collaborative effort in packaging between me, my former supervisor Sher Ferguson, and a coworker. Under the direction of the client and my supervisor, I engineered and drew the box shape and die cut in Adobe Illustrator. The box art is an oil painting by
Sher Ferguson.

A hanging fall decoration produced overseas. The leaves, both the illustrated paper leaves and the die cut for the metallic leaves, were drawn in Adobe Illustrator.
A special holiday gift and promotional. This frame was based on a painting by artist Joni Eareckson Tada. Using elements from her painting, I helped the client make an illustration that was used by an overseas vendor to make a three dimensional representation. Once approved by both the client and the artist, the frame was cast and produced.
